My name is Haris Bosnjak. I was born and raised in the South-West suburbs of Sydney, Australia. I am a first generational Australian to two Bosnian parents. I am the eldest of three siblings in my family with a younger brother and younger sister. My family remains in Australia while I made my way to Bismarck, ND to the University of Mary to pursue my dream of studying abroad and playing college soccer. Some of my hobbies include participating in or watching sports, traveling and outdoor activities, learning, and reading. I am someone who is open to change, new experiences, and I enjoy interacting with people.
At the University of Mary, I pursued History Education as my major. This is something I fell in love with as I took more classes and experienced what the program had to offer. My Practicum and tutoring experience further reinforced this belief. I know and understand that my true calling is to become an educator. To me this means I will help students learn and grow in a positive manner, all while leaving a positive impact on their lives. I know I am capable of this because of the great education I received at the University of Mary and will continue to grow as I begin student teaching.
